In partnership with AGIAMONDO and the Center for Society and Religion (CSR)

AGIAMONDO is the personnel service of the German Catholic community for international development cooperation. Through the Civil Peace Service (CPS), we offer professionals the opportunity to accompany social change processes together with local partner organisations and to strengthen non-violent approaches to conflict transformation.

The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a programme for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions around the world. In Sri Lanka, CPS supports civil society organisations in fostering social cohesion, promoting non-violent conflict transformation, and strengthening the active participation of women and young people in peace processes.

You will work in partnership with the Center for Society and Religion (CSR) in Colombo. Since 1971, CSR has been committed to advancing social justice, interreligious dialogue, and inclusive civic participation. Together with CSR staff and partner organisations, you will strengthen capacities in conflict transformation and dialogue facilitation, further develop approaches to digital civic engagement, and promote the participation of women and young people from marginalised communities.

Your duty station will be Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. The city offers well-developed infrastructure, international schools, and high-quality healthcare services, making it generally suitable for accompanying family members. The position involves regular travel to urban, rural, and formerly conflict-affected regions across the country.
